Celebrating

Wow! What a season of celebrating! These past few days have been so special. On December. 1st, I celebrated 8 years since my engagement to my wonderfully supportive husband, Jeff. I'm still glad I said yes!

We decided every year on this date from now on we will go out and buy a real Christmas tree. I'm so glad we did-the house smells so fresh like pine. I haven't had a real tree since I was a kid. So that's where I've been, with these people, my priorities that I love so much.

As I write this, I'm surrounded by the signs of life all around me, my 2 energetic little boys running around and playing. This will be a special Christmas for us because it will be the first one where both boys are officially ours and adopted into their forever families!

And on December 1st,  I reached 100 followers on this blog! I am so thrilled and thankful for the growth that wouldn't be possible without all of you. I am still new to blogging and learn something new everyday but I have found the whole community of crafting and decorating bloggers to be so inspiring and supportive.
I have been so thankful for all the great blogs that have been featuring my work. And for the company Deco Art that is giving me a huge load of crafting supplies to test out! (but why would you enable a craftaholic?? ha ha...)

And last night, an editor from Houzz.com contacted me and wants me to contribute to their huge, amazing website! I can't believe I've never heard of this site before, considering how much I love to decorate-they have so many great ideas there. My Colorful DIY Garland will be featured there next week-I am so excited about all the opportunity out there to share my ideas with the world!

So, I am working through all the kind comments all of you have been writing to me, wanting to respond to each and every one of you to thank you! So bear with me, as I work to balance being a full-time mom with managing a growing blog!

Thanks for reading and following ReMadeSimple! I can't wait to show you some fun DIY ornaments  and Christmas cards I've been working on later this week.

Kristina
